Job summary

AMIGOS DEL VALLE INC is seeking a delivery driver to transport prepared meals to homebound elders along an established route. You will verify trays, ensure meals are delivered in person, and maintain documentation of each delivery.

The role requires a valid Class C license and the ability to communicate in English and Spanish. You will be responsible for vehicle sanitation, safety, and reporting client concerns to supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or related experience.
• Must have a valid Class C driver's license and clean driving record.
• Own transportation and carry personal auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prepared meals to homebound elderly on established route.
• Check trays for completeness and ensure proper delivery per standards.
• Record reports and document delivery activities.
• Assist with sanitation of delivery equipment and food handling.
• Communicate with clients and report complaints to supervisor.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Location: ADV- Casa 8 Brownsville Center - Brownsville, TX 78520. Salary Range: $9.00.

JOB SUMMARY

Drives own vehicle over established route to deliver prepared meals to homebound elders by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drives own vehicle to deliver prepared meals to homebound elderly.
• Examines filled trays for completeness and ensures food is delivered in conformance with standards.
• Listens to and reports client complaints to supervisor; reports abnormal conditions observed at clients’ homes.
• Records information and completed reports.
• Ensures all delivery equipment is in good condition and is responsible for the sanitation on a daily basis.
• Ensures the prepared meal plate is delivered to homebound elderly in hand and/or face to face at all times.
• Other duties may be assigned.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Reports hazardous situations to supervisors.

Qualifications

Education, certificates and/or licenses: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current Class C drivers license and acceptable driving records as required by insurance carrier. Must have own transportation and possess personal auto liability insurance.

Experience, training, knowledge, skills

Ability to communicate in English and Spanish. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
