Job summary

Town & Country Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Processor to guide residential loans from application through final approval and closing. You will work closely with Loan Officers, Underwriters, Closing staff, borrowers, Realtors, and other partners to ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and moving forward on schedule.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a financial institution is preferred, with mortgage lending or processing strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage lending concepts and documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process mortgage loans from application through underwriting, final approval, and closing.
• Collect, review, and verify borrower and third-party documents (credit, appraisals, title, income, assets).
• Follow up to obtain outstanding information within timelines to keep loans moving forward.
• Prepare files for underwriting by ensuring completeness and compliance with requirements.
• Review loan information, verify AUS findings, and reflect data accurately in Encompass.
• Coordinate with underwriting to resolve conditions and close loans on time.
• Monitor pipeline, deadlines, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Provide updates to loan officers, borrowers, and partners as needed.
• Identify issues and coordinate solutions to maintain timely closings.
• Maintain working knowledge of Town & Country Credit Union mortgage products and investor requirements.
