Job summary

Realm, a systems integration company based in Norwalk, Connecticut, is seeking an AV Technician. You will install hardware, manage shades, and handle low voltage cabling, security, and access control systems. Strong diagnostic skills and a drive to learn are essential. A valid driver’s license is required, and travel to on-site locations is common.

The role is full-time with competitive hourly pay ranging from $24 to $36, reflecting experience and responsibilities in a dynamic AV environment.

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Familiarity with Savant, Lutron, Crestron, Sonos, Control4 and Universal Remote is a plus.
• Professional attitude with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install a range of hardware including TVs, speakers, video extenders and amplifiers.
• Perform installation and maintenance of shades.
• Install, terminate, test and troubleshoot low voltage cabling (CAT5/6, fiber, coax) and systems like security, access control and A/V.
• Utilize diagnostic skills to solve technical issues quickly and accurately.
• Continuously learn and master new skills in the evolving A/V landscape.

What You’ll Do

As an AV Technician at Realm, you'll play a crucial role in our operations. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Installing a range of hardware equipment, including TVs, speakers, video extenders, and amplifiers.
• Skilled installation and maintenance of shades.
• Installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting low voltage cabling (CAT5/6, fiber, coax) and systems like security, access control, and A/V.
• Utilizing your excellent diagnostic skills to solve technical issues.
• Continually learning and mastering new skills in the evolving A/V landscape.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of products from manufacturers like Savant, Lutron, Crestron, Sonos, Control4 and Universal Remote.
• Outstanding diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new skills in the A/V field.
• A professional attitude and meticulous attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
