Job summary

Realm is a systems integration company based in Norwalk, CT, specializing in the design, development, and installation of elegant, intuitive control systems for lighting, security, access control, and entertainment.

We seek an AV Technician to install and service AV gear, shades, and low-voltage systems for residential projects, traveling as needed and collaborating with architects, designers, and homeowners to deliver seamless environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with A/V installation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of low voltage cabling (CAT5/6, fiber, coax) and systems like security, access control, and A/V.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Installing hardware equipment, including TVs, speakers, video extenders, and amplifiers.
• Skilled installation and maintenance of shades.
• Installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting low voltage cabling (CAT5/6, fiber, coax) and systems like security, access control, and A/V.

What You’ll Do

As an AV Technician at Realm, you'll play a crucial role in our operations. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Installing a range of hardware equipment, including TVs, speakers, video extenders, and amplifiers.
• Skilled installation and maintenance of shades.
• Installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting low voltage cabling (CAT5/6, fiber, coax) and systems like security, access control, and A/V.
• Utilizing your excellent diagnostic skills to solve technical issues.
• Continually learning and mastering new skills in the evolving A/V landscape.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of products from manufacturers like Savant, Lutron, Crestron, Sonos, Control4 and Universal Remote.
• Outstanding diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new skills in the A/V field.
• A professional attitude and meticulous attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
