Job summary

Amicus Nursing Services Inc is seeking a highly skilled Infusion Registered Nurse to join our team as an Independent Contractor. The role offers autonomy and a part-time schedule, delivering life-enhancing infusion therapies to patients in their homes.

You will manage end-to-end infusion care, perform pre-infusion assessments, establish IV access, administer medications, monitor for reactions, and maintain documentation via mobile platforms while traveling within the DC/MD/VA service area.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in DC, MD, and VA (Compact/Multi‑state license highly preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of IV therapy/infusion experience.
• Mastery of peripheral IV starts and central line maintenance.
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Independent contractor requirements: background checks, immunizations, and professional insurance.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end infusion experience with emphasis on safety and clinical integrity.
• Perform pre-infusion assessments, establish peripheral IV access, and manage Ports/PICCs.
• Administer specialty medications, monitor for adverse reactions, and intervene or activate EMS if needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy, storage, side effects, and home safety.
• Coordinate with pharmacy/leadership to confirm orders and maintain mobile documentation.
• Travel within the DC/MD/VA service area, upholding infection control and aseptic technique.
