Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking an experienced Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized infusion therapy in patients' homes in Madison, WI. The role covers administering IV antibiotics and infusion medications, vascular access, and patient education.

You will assess patients, monitor during infusions, and collaborate with physicians and pharmacists to ensure high-quality home-based care. A valid RN license and IV infusion experience are required, with travel within the territory

Qualifications

Active RN license in good standing.
Previous IV infusion experience required.
Proficiency with peripheral IV starts, port access, and central line management.
Home infusion, home health, oncology, critical care, or specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
Current BLS certification.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

Administer specialty infusion medications and IV antibiotic therapies in patients' homes.
Perform vascular access procedures, including peripheral IV insertion.
Access and manage implanted ports, PICC lines, and other central venous catheters.
Monitor patients during infusions and assess for adverse reactions or complications.
Educate patients and caregivers on medication administration, infusion therapy, and catheter care.
Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.
