Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Home Infusion Registered Nurse to provide IV therapy in ambulatory and home settings, while upholding the Compassus values and contributing to the care team. You will educate patients and caregivers, collaborate with pharmacy, and ensure thorough documentation and safety in all activities.

The role emphasizes professional nursing care, on-going assessment, and coordination to promote optimal patient outcomes within a compassionate, interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• RN license active in state(s) of employment.
• CPR certification current.
• INS/ONS certification desired.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• PICC/PORT training desired.
• Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience with patient care management.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients needing IV treatment.
• Administer IV therapies in ambulatory infusion suite or patient home.
• Choose venipuncture and/or catheter sites as appropriate.
• Monitor patient responses and document in medical records.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home IV management.
• Collaborate with pharmacy to set care priorities and goals.
• Complete and submit patient care documentation accurately.
• Follow infection control guidelines and handle hazardous materials.
• Respond to emergency needs and participate in on-call triage when needed.
