Job summary

The Allegheny Health Network Home Infusion is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for individuals and families. The RN is fully responsible for nursing actions and accountable for quality of care.

Responsibilities include safe infusion therapy in the home, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, care coordination, and on-call coverage as needed. PA RN licensure and CPR/PALS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Board of Nursing in state of practice.
• 1 year acute care/IV experience. Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• CPR certification and PALS certification are preferred.
• Act 34/33/73 and FBI clearances may be required.
• Current valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assures safe delivery of nursing services in home infusion settings.
• Participates in interdisciplinary communication and reviews patient status and plan of care.
• Directs and organizes ancillary care as needed.
• Provides infusion therapy in the home setting.
• Implements nursing practices and communicates patient status to the team.
• Coordinate medication and supply deliveries to patients.
• Provide information regarding drugs and their safe use to providers.
