Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Home Infusion Registered Nurse to provide in-home infusion therapies across Western New York. The role emphasizes building relationships with patients and families while delivering clinically advanced care outside hospital walls.

The position offers a flexible per diem schedule of 10–20 hours per week, with minimal on-call and exposure to specialty medications. CDL/driver requirements and CPR certification are essential for the role.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NY license required.
• Minimum one year nursing experience with at least one year infusion/IV experience.
• CPR certification current and valid.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for documenting patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide a broad range of infusion therapies in patients' homes.
• Deliver one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education per physician plan.
• Maintain high quality patient interactions with strong written and verbal communication.
• Remain adaptable to a flexible per diem schedule (10–20 hours/week).
• Coordinate care with patients, physicians, pharmacists and other partners.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), Home Infusion you will work outside the walls of a hospital setting in a growing specialized area of the nursing field. As a Home Infusion Nurse you will…

• Challenge your clinical nursing (RN) skills by receiving continuous training on leading edge technology and clinical requirements in specialty infusion. Certification and recertification expenses can be reimbursed for eligible RN’s such as Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion (CRNI®)!

• Provide a broad range of infusion therapies in our patients’ homes

• Make a difference by using your clinical IV experience and personal touch to assist our patients recover in the comfort of their own home.

• Provide one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment.

• Additional licensure may be required in multi state service areas

• Have excellent written and verbal customer service skills in order to interact with the patient, physician, pharmacist and other partners.

Schedule and coverage area:

• Flexible per diem schedule of 10-20 hours/week with daytime hours most of the time.

• Telephonic on-call expectation is minimal (two weeks/year) to cover any questions that might arise in the evenings and on weekends. On-call is 100% telephone triage! There are no in-person visits when on-call.

• Coverage area are the Western New York State (Buffalo/Amherst Area)

• We pay your hourly rate for both patient and drive time

• Excellent opportunity to expand your high tech infusion skills as you will solely work with specialty medications in this role

Required Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with current license in state of NY

• Minimum one year nursing experience with a minimum of one year infusion/IV experience

• Have and maintain current CPR certification

• Possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance

• Have experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Word to document and track patient care activity

• Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Home healthcare experience is a plus, but not required

• CRNI certification is a plus, but not required

Education:

RN Diploma, Associates or B.S. degree in nursing

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$32.01 - $68.55

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
