Job summary

Mr. Handyman of Richmond is seeking experienced, motivated home improvement professionals for full-time, company‑employee roles. You will independently complete small to medium projects in a fast-paced team environment, backed by office support and a competitive benefits package.

Applicants must have 10+ years in carpentry/home improvement/general construction, own tools, a clean background, and a Virginia driver’s license. Strong work ethic and professional appearance are essential.

Our technicians are all company employees, not 1099 subs. Techs have a company van, support from the office staff, and great work-family balance.

Are you ready to work full-time and independently with clients to complete your projects, while still working as part of a high-performing team with support staff and great benefits?

At Mr. Handyman of Richmond, we’ve built this business with you in mind! We're looking for a select few experienced, motivated and organized home improvement professionals with at least 10 years professional experience in carpentry, home improvements and/or general construction. This position is an employee position, not a 1099/freelance position. Our skilled professionals focus on small to medium sized jobs done on a time and materials basis. You'll focus your time and energy on your current client, doing the hands-on work that you love. The office staff manages the nuisances for you: the marketing, scheduling, insurance, licensing, administrative paperwork, etc.

Specific Job Requirements

• Strong ‘multi-skill’ background desired. (expert carpenter with drywall, light plumbing & light electric skills too)
• Must have own tools of the trade

Compensation: $18-$28/hour plus full benefits
