Job summary

Optum, through Puyallup Assured Home Health, seeks a licensed Speech Therapist to assess and treat speech, language, and cognitive impairments in home health patients across Washington. You will evaluate, plan, and implement therapy within state guidelines and coordinate with the care team.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of Washington
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, access to dependable vehicle or public transportation
• CPR certification preferred or able to complete within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws and plan of care
• Evaluates function and assists in development of therapy plan of care
• Treats patients to improve communication and swallowing abilities
• Observes, records, and reports patient response to treatment
• Instructs patient and caregivers in speech therapy areas as appropriate
