• Familiarity with assistive technology and alternative communication methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and caregivers.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on advancements in Speech Therapy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in therapy practices.

Responsabilidades

• Provide in-home speech therapy services to individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, and swallowing abilities in the home setting.
• Create individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and client goals.
• Deliver therapy to improve communication and swallowing skills through customized exercises and interventions.
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and caregivers to coordinate care.
• Educate, train, and support clients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques for ongoing progress.
• Utilize assessment tools and technology to assess and enhance communication skills at home.
• Stay up-to-date with research and advancements in Speech Therapy.
• Adhere to industry standards, ethical guidelines, and legal requirements in in-home therapy.
• Maintain accurate records of assessment, treatment, and progress reports.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and plan comprehensive treatment.

As an In-Home Health Care Speech Therapist, you will work directly with individuals of all ages who have communication or swallowing disorders in the comfort of their own homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, diagnose, and provide tailored treatment to improve their communication and swallowing skills. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals and caregivers to develop personalized treatment plans and ensure the highest quality of care for your clients.
