Job summary

Amedisys, Inc. seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide home health services to adults with speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders. The role focuses on assessment, treatment and prevention in a patient’s home environment.

Responsibilities include aural rehabilitation, AAC implementation for severe communication challenges, and collaboration with care teams. Requires CCC-SLP, active state license, and CPR certification; CFY path acceptable if CCC-SLP pending.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to the state you are assigned to work.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with completed graduate coursework and a clinical practicum in an CAA-accredited program.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and implement AAC systems for severe expressive/language disorders.
• Other duties as assigned.
