Job summary

Memorial Homecare, part of the LHC Group and within the Optum family, is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist for home health. The role focuses on assessment, treatment planning, and interventions for speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments.

Responsibilities include evaluating patient function, developing therapy plans, and educating patients and caregivers. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered and full benefits accompany the salary range provided.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and access to dependable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within scope of practice defined by state laws and plan of care.
• Evaluates function and assists in development of therapy plan.
• Treats patients to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive function.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment and changes in condition.
• Instructs patient, family, and caregivers in speech therapy areas.
