Job summary

Tufts Medicine Care at Home in Lowell, MA is seeking a Senior Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and diagnose complex speech, language, and swallowing disorders and to formulate therapy plans, including referrals and home programs.

The role may work in inpatient or outpatient settings, with responsibilities for supervising staff clinicians and coordinating the Graduate Student Internship program in Speech-Language Pathology. Licensure and BLS are required, with 5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• CCC from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Speech Therapist License.
• BLS Certification.
• Five years of experience in Speech-Language Pathology.
• CPR/CPR certification requirements depending on hire date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and screens complex patients referred to Speech and Language Pathology with professional competency.
• Make recommendations including therapy, referrals for further consultations, or home training programs.
• Prepares written reports of evaluations and progress of individual cases.
• Consults with clients, patients and/or caregiver concerning recommendations and necessary carryover programs.
• Coordinates day-to-day operations of scheduling, hiring and training for the Speech and Language Program.
• Responsible for annual performance evaluations of other Speech Therapy staff.
