Job summary

Adoration Home Health in Williamsburg, VA seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to deliver patient-centered therapy in a home health setting. You will assess speech and language needs, provide targeted treatment, and guide families through progress and care planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted SLP license in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy.
