Job summary

Registered Nurse at MGA Homecare provides and documents skilled nursing care in patient homes under physician orders, reporting to Case Managers and the Clinical Nurse Supervisor. The RN collaborates with MGA personnel to implement care plans tailored to each patient.

In this non-exempt role, the RN must hold an active Texas license, maintain CPR certification, have reliable transportation, and be able to travel between home visits while delivering high-quality patient care and documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved program/school to reflect ability to perform job as described.
• Unencumbered RN license to practice in the state where services are provided.
• Professional experience as required per state regulations to perform the job as described.
• Successful completion of assigned screening/competency testing with a proficiency score of 80% or greater.
• Provide copy of current TB results or Chest x-ray.
• Provide copy of current CPR certification as per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled nursing as ordered on the plan of treatment and nursing care plan.
• Demonstrates and documents clinical skills.
• Notify supervisor of changes and follow up as required.
• Document care in clinical notes and nursing care plan.
• Observe aseptic technique as required; administer medications per care plan.
