Job summary

Amedisys in Washington, DC is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered home health care. You will assess patients, develop and implement plans of care with the care team, and supervise LPNs and HHAs while ensuring timely documentation.

Qualifications

• RN license current in the state(s) assigned.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation.
• RN Intern program if <6 months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and collaborates with the care team to develop and implement a plan of care.
• Makes referrals to other disciplines as indicated by patient needs.
• Promotes patient health and independence through teaching and rehabilitative measures.
• Supervises LPNs and HHAs.
• Completes documentation timely and accurately.
• Regularly communicates patient progress to the clinical manager and care team.
• Plans and provides staff education.
• Performs on-call responsibilities and on-call services.
• Participates in clinical development and continuing education programs.
