Job summary

Northwest Respiratory Services in the Chicago area is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist, Registered Nurse, or LPN to support home care and skilled nursing facilities. You will set up equipment, provide comprehensive instruction, and offer ongoing support of high-technology modalities.

This role emphasizes patient-centered care, independence, and a balanced lifestyle while serving the elderly and Veterans with oxygen and respiratory products across the Midwest.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, RN, or LPN, preferably in home care.
• Proficient in administering respiratory treatments and therapies.
• Experience with patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation.
• Experience with respiratory equipment including ventilators and oxygen systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up and instruct on home medical equipment (oxygen concentrators, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizers, etc).
• Provide routine equipment maintenance and safety education to clients.
• Schedule and conduct in-services of respiratory equipment to SNFs as requested.
• Serve as a resource to referrals, physicians, clients and staff; assist with troubleshooting equipment.
