Job summary

Valley Health in Virginia is seeking a Home Health Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide direct patient care in patients' homes as part of a multidisciplinary team. The PTA works under the supervision of a therapist and uses a laptop for documentation in an electronic record.

Employment begins with a 4–6 week orientation with a seasoned preceptor. The role includes performance improvement opportunities and other duties as assigned by the clinical manager.

Qualifications

• Associates degree as a PTA is required.
• Virginia licensure or eligible is required.
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience (10,400 hours).
• BLS Certification (AHA HCP) is required prior to orientation.
• New hires must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, one-on-one PTA care in patients' homes as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Use a laptop to complete documentation in an electronic record.
• Assist with orientation and training during the 4–6 week onboarding period.
• Perform duties as assigned by the clinical manager, including performance improvement opportunities.
