Job summary

Nurse Next Door in Coeur d'Alene is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant to care for clients in home-based settings. You will implement treatment plans under a licensed Physical Therapist, focusing on mobility, independence, and quality of life for each client.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, educating patients and caregivers, documenting treatments, and collaborating with the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current Idaho Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to complete required pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work independently in a home-care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Physical Therapy treatment under the supervising PT, including exercises and mobility training.
• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising PT.
• Provide patient and caregiver education on exercises, mobility, safety, and home programs.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with standards.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
