Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver in-home physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This PRN role supports overflow and PTO coverage, bringing skilled care to patients in their own homes and helping them regain mobility and independence.

You will document progress, coordinate care with the clinical team, and participate in ongoing quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state (Tennessee).
• Graduate from CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• One year of PT experience in home health or willingness to participate in a residency.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to the PT and clinical staff.
• Document progress and activities in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist with care coordination and referrals to community resources.
• Participate in patient care conferences and quality improvement activities.
