Job summary

Medical Services of America, Inc.'s Home Health division is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to provide in-home therapy across Tazewell, VA and surrounding counties. You will support patients to regain strength, mobility, and independence under a supervising Physical Therapist.

The ideal candidate holds a Virginia PTA license, has at least 1 year of verifiable PTA experience, a valid driver's license, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active Virginia PTA license.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable PTA experience.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy services as outlined in the plan of care by the supervising PT.
• Carry out treatment protocols to support mobility, strength, balance, and functional recovery.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate updates to the PT or Case Manager.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with agency policy and regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and mobility techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
