Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Patient Care division, part of LHC Group, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment and provide exercise instruction aligned with the plan of care in home care settings.

Under supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will follow state laws, coordinate with the healthcare team, and guide patients, families, and caregivers on therapy within scope. The role offers an hourly pay range with benefits.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing provision of physical therapy in home care and perform only procedures qualified and trained to perform, reporting changes to the supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observes, records, and reports patient response to treatment to the supervising PT and coordinates care with the health care team.
