Job summary

Optum's At Home Healthcare in Colorado is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to support home care patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, providing treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to improve well-being.

You will follow state laws, assist with gait, transfers, ADLs, and safety, document responses, and coordinate care with the health team. Weekend rotation is required and a $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy.
• Current CPR certification or obtain by date of hire.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home PT and perform only supervised tasks.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Educates patient, family, caregiver, and other health team members in therapy within PTA scope.
