CVHCare in California seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our home health care team in Woodland Hills. You will deliver PT services under a Physical Therapist, including exercise programs, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, gait and balance training, and patient progress reporting.

The ideal candidate has a CA PTA license, one year of clinical experience, reliable transport, CPR certification, and the ability to train/orient newcomers.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Current California PTA license.
• CPR certification.
• Reliable transportation and auto insurance.
• Must attend orientation and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Perform exercises, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, massage, and gait/balance training.
• Record patient responses and report outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.

Position Summary: The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services & care to patients, under the direction of a Physical Therapist and according to the physician's plan of care. They provide exercise, instruction, therapeutic methods like electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, and ultrasound; massage; and gait and balance training. Physical Therapist Assistants record the patient's responses to treatment and report the outcome of treatment to the Physical Therapist.

Schedule:Per Diem ( 12 visits per week)
* Non-traditional schedules are available, i.e., Thursday-Monday
Locations:Area #40 covering North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Sun Valley, Toluca Lake, Universal City, Valley Glen, Valley Village, Van Nuysand Area #41 coveringArleta, Granada Hills, Mission Hills, North Hills, Northridge, Pacoima, Panorama City, Porter Ranch, San Fernando, Sylmar
Paid Training: Must be able to train for 5 days Mon-Friday 9am-5:30pm in our LA office

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• One year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant required
• Current CA Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License
• Reliable Transportation and auto insurance
• CPR Certification
• Must be able to attend one week of orientation and training
