Qualifications

• A.A. degree from an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• CPR certification for adult and pediatric patients.
• Valid Maryland driver’s license with auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• 1+ year of clinical care experience preferred (acute, subacute, or home health).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist, following frequency and duration specifications.
• Document patient progress, strength, ROM, balance, and mobility using objective measures.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and rehab team to coordinate care.
• Conduct discharge planning and refer for ongoing services as needed.
• Provide patient education and address safety needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulations; participate in continuing education.
