Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to provide individualized home-based care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients across North Carolina.

You will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist and Clinical Manager, administer prescribed treatments, document per agency policies, and contribute to program development and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• Licensure in the state where practicing (NC/SC).
• CPR certification.
• Minimum 6 months experience.
• Knowledge of physical therapy procedures.
• Ability to operate and manipulate evaluation and treatment equipment.
• Ability to transfer and guard patients safely.
• Ability to apply manual therapy techniques.
• Professional and positive interaction with patients, families, and staff.
• Ability to develop appropriate treatment programs using professional reasoning.
• Ability to prioritize duties and learn new skills.
• Ability to use computer technology and supportive services.
• Must be able to stand/walk, lift >50 lbs, transfer >100 lbs.

Responsibilities

Job description

Requirements

• Associate Degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program

• CPR certification
• Minimum 6 Months experience
• Knowledge of physical therapy procedures
• Ability to manipulate patient care and evaluation equipment, including goniometers, modalities, assistive devices and exercise equipment
• Ability to properly transfer and guard patients
• Ability to apply manual therapy techniques
• Ability to deal with the public, co-workers, patients, families, and physicians in a professional and positive manner
• Ability to apply physical therapy principles and use professional reasoning to develop appropriate treatment programs
• Ability to prioritize duties, learn new skills and techniques in patient care
• Ability to learn and use computer technology and supportive services
• Ability to see and communicate clearly in order to perform basic therapy techniques
• 40 hour work weeks, variable Monday-Friday, weekends and holidays as needed
• Must have a valid North Carolina driver’s license and an operational vehicle
• Requires significant standing and walking, frequent lifting greater than 50 lbs and transferring patients greater than 100 lbs
