Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist for a full-time, weekday role. Responsibilities include helping patients maintain and improve movement, with ongoing reexaminations and discharge planning as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a CAPTE-accredited PT degree, valid state license, CPR certification, and at least one year of home health PT experience or willingness to undertake regional mentoring if needed.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state of assignment.
• Graduated from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• One year of related physical therapy experience for home health care; mentoring/residency may be required if less than 1 year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations every 30 days at minimum, modify treatments as needed, and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $117,000 to $148,000

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
