Qualifications

• Must hold OTA licensure in the state of practice.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• CPR certification preferred or within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized.
• Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing occupational therapy in home care and the defined plan of care.
• Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the OTA and state laws.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and changes to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver and health team members in therapy areas within the OTA scope.
• Function in home settings regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
