Job summary

Able Home Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our San Diego team. You will deliver personalized therapeutic care in patients' homes, helping them regain independence and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, hands-on interventions, traveling to patient homes, and documenting progress in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in OTA completed from an accredited program.
• Active California COTA licensure required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising OT.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to improve daily living and fine motor skills.
• Travel to patient homes throughout the San Diego area to deliver one-on-one care.
• Document patient progress, treatment notes, and updates in compliance with home health regulations.
• Communicate regularly with the supervising OT and care team regarding patient status.
• Educate patients and family members on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques.
• Ensure a safe home environment by recommending assistive devices and home modifications.
