Job summary

UniversaCare in Waterbury, CT is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our home-based care team. You will work with clients in their homes to help them develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills.

You will assess, design, and adjust personalized treatment plans, educate families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring safety and independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice occupational therapy in Connecticut.
• Ability to travel to clients' homes and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' physical and cognitive abilities to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Implement and modify treatment plans to meet clients' changing needs.
• Monitor and record clients' progress, making adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate clients and their families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of client care and progress.
