Job summary

VNA Care is seeking a Nurse Educator & Clinical Training Specialist for Home Health in Massachusetts. This full-time role focuses on providing educational resources to clinical staff, developing competency-based plans, and ensuring best practices across the agency.

The position requires a BS in a clinical field, MA licensure, and at least five years of clinical experience, with three in home health. Teaching experience and proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and e-learning are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in clinical field (RN, OT, PT, SLP) or related Home Health field preferred.
• Licensed in Massachusetts.
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, 3 of which are recent home care.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and E-Learning modalities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates with hiring manager in interview and selection of clinical applicants.
• Uses individualized education plans for new clinicians.
• Evaluates new clinicians’ performance through competency testing and visits.
• Mentors preceptors in planning patient care experiences for new clinicians.
• Teaches in the didactic portion of orientation.
• Maintains and updates web-based teaching resources.
• Provides on-site support and education to clinical staff on new procedures and equipment.
• Contributes to annual clinical competencies and up-to-date practice knowledge.
