Job summary

Bear Lake Memorial Healthcare in Idaho is seeking a dedicated patient care assistant to help with daily tasks, mobility, and comfort for patients.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, transportation to appointments, and basic safety procedures, while maintaining confidentiality and compassion.

This is a part-time position requiring flexibility across shifts; valid Idaho driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.

Job description

Bear Lake Memorial Healthcare is seeking a hard-working, dependable individual that can provide compassionate and caring service to their patients/clients. This will be considered a patient safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assists patients with bathing, dressing, housekeeping, shopping, taking patients to doctors' appointments, etc.
• Takes and records temperatures, pulse, etc.
• Gives compassionate care for patients/clients

Requirements:

• Any employment offer is contingent upon producing documents establishing eligibility to work in the United States; satisfactorily passing the pre-employment drug screen; employee health evaluation (if required), establishing ability to perform the essential functions of the position; and the satisfactory completion of a criminal background check with finger prints, and reference checks.
• Willing and able to be flexible and to work various shifts/hours/days on a part-time basis.
• Must be kind and compassionate.
• Must have a current Idaho driver's license, proof of valid auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Good organizational skills.
• Adherence to confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Must have good people skills and be able to get along with others.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• There will be a moderate amount of bending, twisting and reaching.
