Job summary

Bear Lake Memorial Hospital in Montpelier, Idaho is seeking a compassionate licensed nurse to provide direct patient care in the Acute Care unit, communicate with physicians and staff, and help coordinate patient flow. Responsibilities include administering medications, making rounds, documenting accurately, and ensuring safety.

ACLS and BLS are required; lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance may be necessary; maintaining confidentiality is essential.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Receiving and giving written and oral reports to the off going or on-coming charge nurse and patient care personnel. She/he is responsible in communicating with physicians, residents, families, visitors, and professional staff members.


• Making assignments based on the needs of patients and the capabilities of patient care personnel.


• Administering medications and treatments prescribed by legally authorized persons within their scope of practice and training.


• Making rounds to assess the condition and needs of patients


• Accompanying physicians and other personnel as necessary. Evaluating the physical condition of the Acute Care unit.


• Keeping records and patient charts according to facility policy.

Requirements:

• Consistently work cooperatively with patients, residents, residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.


• Consistently supports compliance and the principles of responsibility by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (as applicable), and Bear Lake Memorial Hospital’s policies and procedures.
