Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide in-home patient care across Georgia. This full-time role offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

You will verify care plans, collaborate with physicians and RNs, teach self-care, monitor vitals, reconcile medications, and document thoroughly in each visit. Responsibilities include performing physician-ordered procedures and preparing equipment with aseptic technique, while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are met; notify them if patient condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform physician-ordered specialized procedures (e.g., Foley catheter change).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
