Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a licensed practical nurse in Georgia to provide in-home patient care on a full-time basis. Expect a flexible, mission-driven role with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

You will verify care plans with the RN, collaborate with healthcare teams, teach patients, monitor vitals, reconcile medications, perform select procedures, and document thoroughly to support patient healing at home.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license for the state(s) you’re assigned to work in.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to address patient needs and notify changes promptly.
• Educate patients and caregivers on self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs during visits.
• Review medications and perform reconciliations at each visit.
• Perform physician-ordered procedures (e.g., urinary catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
