Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Renton, WA, is seeking an in-office Home Health Intake Coordinator (non-remote) to support patient referrals and coordinate data between clinical and marketing teams. The role requires working in the office Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, in Renton, WA.

The primary duties include collecting demographic and clinical information, verifying licenses, researching coverage, educating patients and families, and acting as a liaison among departments to ensure seamless patient

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in office procedures.
  • 1+ years of insurance/medical experience.

This is an on-site role based in Renton, WA. Candidates must be available to work in the office Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.

As the Intake Coordinator, you will receive and analyze incoming referral and order calls while effectively communicating patient/referral information to appropriate teams.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Obtain demographic and clinical information from clients, physician’s offices, and other referral sources to compile referrals
  • Verify new referring physician licenses on referrals taken in department
  • Research coverage or pay source for each referral and verifies commercial policies and HIQA
  • Educate prospective patients, families, physicians, and hospitals regarding home health services available
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical and marketing staff
Required Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in office procedures
  • 1+ years of insurance/medical experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.

The hourly pay for this role will range from $25.00 - $33.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. #LHCJobs
