Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Parallon is seeking a Home Health Coder II in Las Vegas to review and code clinical notes for home health and hospice services.

You will document coding recommendations, support OASIS edits, and work with the denials/AR teams to optimize accuracy and compliance while maintaining productivity and quality.

Applicants should have a coding credential, at least two years of home health coding experience, and knowledge of medical terminology and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum two years professional fee coding experience with one year in home health/hospice coding.
• Coding certification required; OASIS cert preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and codes from clinical notes.
• Maintains productivity and quality standards.
• Collaborates with A/R for denials resolution and coding edits.
• Keeps current with coding guidelines and federal regulations.
• Engages in in-service/training to support growth and quality.
• Reviews OASIS time points and related documentation for CMS submission.
• Uses tools to improve outcomes and coding accuracy.
• Addresses SHP alerts and reports with team support.
