Qualifications

• Certified professional coder certification is preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of home health coding or quality assurance experience.
• Strong working knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and OASIS documentation.
• Familiarity with CMS home health regulations, PPS, and PDGM reimbursement models.
• Proficiency with home health EMR/EHR software and coding tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM codes for home health records and OASIS assessments.
• Review and audit clinical documentation for coding accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct QA reviews of OASIS data submissions and clinical records.
• Identify documentation deficiencies and collaborate with clinical staff to resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor compliance with CMS home health guidelines and payer requirements.
• Generate QA reports and provide feedback to clinical teams for improvement.
