Position Overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides personal care, selected treatment procedures, minimal household tasks, and occasional meal preparation under the supervision of a Registered Nurse for individuals with special needs in their homes. A Home Health Aide is caring and compassionate, with the maturity to handle responsibilities, genuine concern for the sick or disabled, and the ability to follow written and oral directions as well as communicate effectively.

Fayetteville, Lumberton, and Laurinburg NC communities.

Essential Job Functions

1. Perform personal care tasks including assistance with hygiene, grooming, feeding, ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care-related tasks.
2. Perform home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning.
3. Plan meals, shop for groceries, prepare and serve meals, and clean up.
4. Communicate verbally with clients, family members, and staff professionally.
5. Ensure client safety and maintain a safe environment.
6. Remind and assist clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training).
7. Encourage self-help activities.
8. Report and document services provided and changes in client's condition or family situation.
9. Maintain clinical records according to policy and regulations.

Requirements

1. Be 18 years or older with a High School diploma or GED.
2. Complete the company's competency testing for HHA.
3. Valid Driver's license and acceptable MVR.
4. Valid CNA certification and CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year experience in Home Health Care or Long-Term Care is a plus.
