About the Resident

A local Sturgeon Bay resident who is paralyzed and requires full‑time assistance to live comfortably and maintain independence at home seeks a full‑time caregiver. The candidate should be kind, patient, reliable, and supportive of the resident’s caregiving team.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Mobility: Help with transfers (bed to wheelchair, etc.) and ensure safe movement around the house, including use of a ceiling lift transfer if needed.
• Medication: Assist with medication distribution.
• Meal Preparation: Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals; provide feeding assistance when necessary.
• Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and run errands.
• Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in social activities.
• Dog Care: Allow the resident’s dog to go in and out for bathroom breaks and sometimes walk the dog daily.
