Job summary

Village Caregiving is actively hiring caregivers in Carrollton, KY with immediate hours and paid training. Roles include helping clients with medications, mobility, personal care and light housekeeping. A CPR certification and strong communication skills are preferred, with both part-time and full-time hours available.

Competitive pay range is posted, and Daily Pay option is offered. Training is provided to ensure safety and quality of care for clients in their homes.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiver experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Support physical therapy and prescribed exercises.
• Run errands or accompany clients shopping.
• Do light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Collect information from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family.
• Report any unusual incidents to caregivers and medical staff.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

CAREGIVER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
