Job summary

Visiting Angels is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Kansas City area to support seniors and clients at home. The role involves mobility assistance, personal care, meal planning, light housekeeping, and companionship.

We offer opportunities for growth with training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care and flexible shift options including full-time, part-time, PRN, and various shift lengths.

Qualifications

• Desire to serve others with a genuine caregiving attitude
• Proven ability to respond to emergencies and perform first aid
• Respectful, reliable and compassionate in all interactions
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
