Job summary

Executive Home Care is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide compassionate live-in care for a husband and wife in their private home in New Jersey. The caregiver must be bilingual in Spanish and English and have strong senior-care experience, with a keen eye for dignity and personalized attention.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility support, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and meticulous record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active New Jersey CHHA certification.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
• Experience in home care or senior care preferred.
• Experience with memory care is a plus.
• Ability to follow care plans from nurses and healthcare professionals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work in a live-in setting for two clients.

• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe movement around the home.
• Provide medication reminders as directed.
• Monitor vital signs and promptly report any changes, concerns, or unusual observations to the nurse.
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful and appropriate activities.
• Support clients with their daily routines while promoting dignity, independence, and comfort.
• Accurately document care provided and maintain required client records.
• Follow care plans and instructions provided by nurses and other healthcare professionals.
