Job summary

Right at Home in California is seeking an Experienced In-Home Care Aide to join a dedicated care team that provides clinical expertise in-home. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for growth, with comprehensive training and development programs, plus a strong focus on improving quality of life for seniors and adults with disabilities.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility support, meal prep, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and companionship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English for job requirements.
• Must pass a full employment background check.
• Must provide a Negative Tuberculosis test.
• Willing to provide care to both female and male clients.
• Willing to provide personal care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living: hygiene, bathing, grooming.
• Provide transportation, meal preparation, and housekeeping tasks.
• Support patient-specific activities taught by a nurse, including ROM exercises and dementia care.
• Assist with medication reminders, showers, and toileting as required.

Education

Responsibilities and Duties:

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):

• Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair)
• Transportation
• Feeding
• Prepares meals according to instructions
• Performs housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry

Performs patient-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home nurse. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Understanding dementia care
• Incontinence care
• Providing showers, bed baths, or sponge baths
• Providing brief changes or assistance with toileting

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check
• Must be able to provide Negative Tuberculosis Test
• Be Willing to provide care to both Female and Males
• Be Willing to Provide Personal Care

Nice to Have’s:

• Home Care Aide (HCA) license is preferred
• Possess a valid driver’s license and an insured automobile
