Job summary

Rockaway Home Care is seeking qualified Home Health Aides (HHA) to support clients across Suffolk County, NY. Roles offer flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and options for full-time, part-time, or per diem work.

You will assist with ADLs, mobility, meal prep, and other caregiving tasks according to each client’s care plan. NY HHA certificate and authorization to work in the United States are required; dependable transportation to cases is expected.

Qualifications

• New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) certificate required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Dependable transportation to your assigned case.
• Compassionate and professional demeanor.
• Good communication skills essential.
• Home care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting.
• Support activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance.
• Meal preparation and basic nutrition reminders.
• Medication reminders as permitted by plan.
• Light housekeeping related to client care.
• Offer companionship and social interaction.
• Monitor and report changes in condition.
• Complete required documentation.
• Follow the client’s plan of care.

Rockaway Home Care has clients throughout Suffolk County, New York, and we're looking for dependable HHAs across the county.

Our service area includes Huntington, Deer Park, Bay Shore, Patchogue, Centereach, Riverhead, Southampton, East Hampton, Montauk, and surrounding Suffolk County communities.

Suffolk County is a big place, and we don't expect you to travel from one end of the county to the other.

As an HHA, You May Help Clients With:
