Position: Home Health Aide

As a Home Health Aide, you will provide care at private homes for shifts that may last several days or weeks, depending on client needs. You are responsible for offering caring, personalized assistance to residents in their homes, supporting them in daily activities.

Required Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in healthcare, geriatrics, or working with the elderly preferred
• Desire to work with the geriatric population is essential
• Valid Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance
• Training as per state requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide care support within assigned geographical regions
• Comfortable driving up to 50 miles (about an hour)
• Assist with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene for male and female residents
• Support residents in dressing, eating, and other daily activities
• Make beds, change linens, and keep the client’s environment tidy
• Assist with medication protocols and monitor health signs
• Help with mobility, transfers, and repositioning, ensuring safety
• Transport clients to appointments as needed
• Maintain clients’ dignity and privacy, respecting their rights
• Participate in activity programming and care planning
• Complete shift documentation accurately
• Follow infection control procedures
• Adapt to schedule changes and assist in emergencies
• Additional duties include light housekeeping, pet care, and assisting with meals

Working Conditions

This role involves standing for extended periods, effective communication, and the ability to read detailed documents and electronic screens. The environment is moderately noisy, with travel required to various locations.
