Job summary

BayCare in Largo, FL is seeking a Home Health Aide - Private Duty as part of the Clinical team. The position is full-time with an hourly compensation structure. Shifts run from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with no on-call duties, and the role focuses on delivering personal care under the supervision of a nurse.

Qualifications include CNA or HHA certification, Florida driver’s license within 30 days, and BLS. Preferred: HS diploma and 1 year Home Care experience.

Qualifications

• CNA or HHA certification from accredited 75-hour program.
• Florida driver's license required within 30 days of hire.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• As part of the patient care team, works under the guidance and supervision of the staff nurse in providing personal care to the patients
• Follows the patient's plan of care for completion of tasks assigned to a home health aide by the registered nurse or other appropriate skilled professional
• Maintains an open communication process with the patient, representative (if any), caregivers, and family
• Demonstrates competency with assigned tasks
• Complies with infection prevention and control policies and procedures
• Reports changes in the patient's condition

Education

BLS (Basic Life Support)

Required Certifications and Licensures:

• Driver's License State of Florida (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Education:

• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Preferred 1 year Home Care
