Job summary

A prominent health organization in Largo is seeking a Home Health Aide Per Visit to provide personal care and outstanding service to patients. This role entails working under the supervision of nursing staff, ensuring patient comfort, and following prescribed care plans. Candidates should have CNA or HHA certification, a valid driver's license, and ideally at least one year of home care experience. This is an hourly position with scheduled shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and weekend work is required every third weekend.

Qualifications

• CNA or HHA certification from accredited 75-hour program required.
• Preferred 1 year experience in Home Care.
• Level II background screening required.

Responsibilities

Position Details

• Facility: BayCare Health System, Private Duty
• Location: Pinellas County
• Status: Per Visit, hourly
• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Weekend Work: Every 3rd weekend

Home Health Aide Key Responsibilities

• As part of the patient care team, works under the guidance and supervision of the staff nurse in providing personal care to the patients
• Follows the patient's plan of care for completion of tasks assigned to a home health aide by the registered nurse or other appropriate skilled professional
• Maintains an open communication process with the patient, representative (if any), caregivers, and family
• Demonstrates competency with assigned tasks
• Complies with infection prevention and control policies and procedures
• Reports changes in the patient's condition
• Honors patient rights
  
  

Required

Certifications and Licensures:

• CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA certification from accredited 75-hour program
• Driver's License State of Florida (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire)
